Jamie still loves to fly and she and her husband, Mike, can often be found on the weekends at around 3000 feet in their own airplane, a beautiful four passenger Piper Archer. They enjoy flying up to Leesburg, Virginia to visit with Mike’s daughter, Sandi, and her family and also love getting away to Sarasota, Florida, Jamie’s hometown.

Jamie Stafford (Baritone)

Jamie discovered barbershop-style music in 1992 while living in Manassas, Virginia.  Her 22-year career as an Eastern Airlines flight attendant had recently ended and while she was enjoying working in the family medical business, she really missed the camaraderie and friendship of her airline pals.  After spotting a photo in the local paper of a small Sweet Adelines chorus in nearby Warrenton, she went to a rehearsal and found just what she’d been looking for:  a whole room full of interesting new friends and the wonderful sounds of four-part harmony.  She joined the Vienna-Falls Chorus in Fairfax, Virginia in1993 and has been singing with the Virginia Coast Chorus in Virginia Beach since 1999.  Her part-time job as a bookkeeper gives Jamie plenty of time to devote to her favorite activity; keeping Fire & Ice organized!  She loves making lists, creating spread sheets and keeping the quartet busy learning new music and performing at every opportunity.
